While not a member of ALLIANCE, Tom Barber was one of the great heroes of petrophysics, especially induction tools and interpretation, globally recognised as such, with many honours to his name in that field, he certainly has a large number of friends and acquaintances who are members.

Tom Barber passed away on Thursday night. The last time I communicated with Peggy was a couple weeks earlier and she said Tom was in very bad shape with stage 4 prostate cancer and suffering dementia, partially as a result of medications for the cancer treatment.
