Silvio Casagrande advised that his mother Ester Luisa Africano de Casagrande died peacefully in her bed at home in Buenos Aires on Sunday 16th January at the age of 94, almost 95. She was born in 1926 and married Silvio Cesar Jose Casagrande whose Wireline career started in 1957 and ended in 1989 and who pre-deceased her in 2003.

She was cremated as her wish on January 18th 2022, and her ashes will rest in peace at the Basílica del Espíritu Santo (Parroquia N.S. de Guadalupe) located in her city, Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Argentina. She was born in Colombia but she made Argentina her place.

As much as she was able to travel, until her 90’s, she loved to meet with all the Schlumberger alumni in any place they were meeting.
