Dan Parker died peacefully on the evening of Saturday 13th July in Surrey, UK, aged 88 years.

Dan joined Schlumberger Wireline in 1960, staying until 1975. Robert Ross says Dan was his District Manager. Winston Seaman met him in Jakarta, Indonesia in the 80s while with the Gearhart companies and became family friends. Dan and Ingrid attended 7 ALLIANCE reunions, starting with the 1995 Pfronten event which had 266 attendees (the largest)
Dan was 88 years old, or young! He and Ingrid had been married for one month short of 60 years when she passed away in January 2021.
He kept saying what a great life he had had, flying jets, and travelling the world with Ingrid. His children Melanie and Julian like to think he is finally at peace, with Ingrid. He will be laid to rest together with her following his funeral at Randalls Park Crematorium, Cobham on 20th August, funeral details available here.
Dan and Ingrid were posted at the following locations during his time with Schlumberger:
1960 – Munich
1961 – Vienna
1961 – The Hague
1963 – Benghazi, Libya
1965 – Cairo, Egypt
1967 – Brunei
1972 – Paris
1974 – Aberdeen
