It is with sadness we announce the passing, on Saturday, 7 July 2024, of Manfred Heintze, aged 95 years, in Diepholz, Germany.
A devoted husband of Karin,
loving father of Anne-Katrin, Dirk, Kerstin, Mathias, and grandfather of Ann-Sophie,
father-in-law of Sarah and Jan Kaes,
and friend to many.
The funeral service was held on 5 August 2024 in Diepholz, Germany

Manfred joined Schlumberger Wireline in 1955 and spend over 30 years with the company before retiring in 1987. He is remembered for his attendance at numerous of our reunions and recounting stories of a very different field operation in those early years.
Karin Heintz’ account of their Schlumberger years is a very interesting read; their time in Burma made their next assignment, Nigeria, seem like a luxury holiday camp, until the outbreak of the Biafra War !
