Antonio Primo Ferreira Neto passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on 9th April. His wife Silvia informs us as follows:
Dear SLB friends,
This is a very hard moment for us and for all who knew Antonio, he is and forever will be greatly missed. We want all of you to know that Schlumberger has played a very important role in our lives, that we’ve been very happy everywhere we lived, and that the most important friends we have today are the ones we made on our journey with the company – true friends who will continue to share with us his smile, his excitement for life, and who will cherish the memories we’ve all made together, forever.
Silvia, Paula and Bruna
Umberto Marseglia posted a moving tribute to Antonio, quote here:
???????? ???????????????????????? ???????????????????????? ???????? ???????????????????????????? ????????????????????????????????
With profound sadness, we mourn the sudden and untimely passing of our dear friend, Antonio Ferreira.
Antonio was far more than a great member of our Blue family, a brilliant Blue Engineer, and a respected Schlumberger manager — he was the kind of person whose presence truly made a difference. A consummate professional, he faced every challenge with courtesy, clarity, calm, and precision. His deep expertise, sound judgment, and steady leadership earned him not just respect, but lasting admiration from all who worked alongside him.
But it was Antonio’s warmth and humanity that made him unforgettable. He had an extraordinary ability to connect with others, offering support and empathy with natural grace. His sense of humor was light, thoughtful, and never unkind — a quiet gift that brought relief and perspective, even in the most stressful moments. He was always careful with his words, deeply respectful of others’ feelings, and carried a gentle wisdom that made everyone around him feel seen and valued.
As a friend, Antonio was loyal, uplifting, and endlessly generous — with his time, his kindness, and his heart. He celebrated our successes with joy, stood by us in moments of difficulty, and never failed to show up when it mattered most.
Today, we remember Antonio not only for what he achieved, but for who he was — a devoted husband, a loving father, and an extraordinary human being. His spirit will live on in the hearts of Silvia, Bruna, and Paola, and in all of us who had the honor of knowing him.
May he rest in peace, and may his memory forever be a blessing.
Um abraco grande querido Antonio, Descansa em Paz.
