Jack Shelton passed away on July 1, 2021, aged 86, in Houston. He had several health problems the last couple of years, but kidney failure may have been the main problem. Anna Mary Shelton has said Jack had not wanted a funeral service or a memorial service.

Jack started with Dowell Division Dow Chemical Co. in 1954 and transferred to United Oilwell Service in Venezuela in 1958. Dowell Schlumberger was formed in 1960 and Jack’s career sent him to South America, the Middle East, the Far East and Vice President of Operations in Paris. He retired in October 1993 as Director of Real Estate for the Schlumberger group in Houston.
