Jacques started his Schlumberger career in 1973 at Wireline MTC in Kuwait, followed by assignments in Iraq and Iran. Following spells in The Haque and Clamart from 1982-1989 he went to Bogata, Colombia until he left Schlumberger in 1991.

He is survived by his wife Franciska, son Nicolas and daughter Lattitia
