ALLIANCE Schlumberger’s main 2023 Reunion was held in Bilbao, Northern Spain, from 4th to 8th September 2023.
Our reunion was based at the historic luxury 5* Carlton Hotel, in Bilbao city centre. Bilbao is the largest city in the Spanish Basque region, renowned for its gastronomy (over 20 Michelin star restaurants), wines and pintxos (tapas), the culture, cathedral and museums of Casco Viejo (the Old Town) as well as the emblematic modernist Guggenheim museum. Trips were planned to the Royal City of Santander, pre-historic Altamira cave paintings, a trip to Rioja wine country, and an excursion to historic Basque sites such as Guernica.
- A presentation of the reunion is available here.

Alan Sibbit prepared a couple of great description documents for the reunion with numerous web links to explore further:

We had blocked rooms at the 5* Carlton Hotel, as well as at the nearby sister 4* Hotel Abando.
