Not strictly pension related, but finance-related.

I was wondering, from practice not theory, if our colleagues with US located assets (for example shares of US companies in brokerage accounts, cash in brokerage accounts) and are non-US residents are planning for the Estate Tax that applies above the 60K exemption at a rate of 40%

      Many thanks!

Good point. Non us shares are exempt (unless I am wrong). Just make sure to spend or transfer most of it before you pass away. It may be posible to establish a trust but I am not sure about that. In any case, most of us retirees are condemned to die broke with 15 plus years without adjustements.

      Good point about the end-point.

THis is the path I followed, basically liquidating my ETFs, US shares and cash on Schwab and investing on Interactive Ireland in non US ETFs and shares.
