Having just (finally!) successfully navigated through the application process for a French pension I thought I’d capture a few helpful notes to make it a bit easier for anyone else to request their French Pension. I hope it helps.

The process has become simpler (really!) and the link between the state pension (CNAV) and the private pensions (Agirc-Arrco) is now more or less automatic; you only need to apply once. The “certificat de vie” required of those living outside France can now also be provided digitally via a dedicated app which actually works.

Although there’s some English-language stuff out there, it still helps if you have some French (or liberally use Google translate…)

      Hello,
I’ve managed to sort out my Agirc-Arrco pension without too much trouble but L’Assurance retraite part is causing me grief. They have requested all my payslips from my time in France and I can’t find them. Is there anyway to get them from SLB? I’m finding it hard to find a contact in payroll SPS and STS.
      Any advice gladly received.
Agirc Arrco didn’t ask for them.

I received the attached French Pension Guidelines from Christine Cellier ccellier@slb.com in Paris a few years ago which might help with the process.
