I am looking for an example log print of what was called the “Many Special”. This was a fracture finder presentation that consisted of an amplified short normal overlaid with a specially scaled sonic amplitude curve. I ran this combo a few times when I was an R9U jockey working out of Shreveport in 1967. I would like to include an example of this early “quick-look” fracture detector in a paper I am writing on old logs.
As I remember the Many Field was south of Shreveport and my guess was that the target in those wells was either Haynesville, Tuscaloosa or Austin Chalk. Any help will be most appreciated.
