My pension is currently paid to my Barclays account.
I am planning to move to Wise or Revolut.
Are you using one of these? or know someone who does?
      Any problem encountered?

      Thanks

Hi! Did you ever get any further on this? I have been wondering the same thing (whether a Wise account is OK to receive the pension). Thanks

I have accounts with Wise and Revolut. Of the two, I greatly prefer Wise. Both seem similar until something goes wrong and then you need to contact someone. Revolut have no phone numbers and the only option is the in-app chat which can take an hour. Wise have always been much more responsive. Revolut also have a reputation for not refunding frauds, whereas other instituions generally do in most cases. (That’s changing with the law soon).
Another option that you could consider if you bank with HSBC in the UK (and possibly elsewhere) is their newish “global money” account. At present you cannot receive USD directly into it, but you can open a (free) USD currency account, receive the USD there and move it (free) over to the global money account for conversions and spending via a card. Their conversion rates are not quite as good as WISE, so if you’re moving large sums then send it from Global money to wise to make that switch, but for day to day use it’s a good option and has the protection of a major bank with the ability to phone and sort out any problems.
I’m about to turn 55 soon, and having done a bit of research, that’s my plan for the ISPP.
      Hope it helps.
      Tim
