Rene Heyte, our good friend, previous ALLIANCE President (from 2008 – 2012), and routine attendee at our reunions, has sadly passed away on the evening of Wednesday 18th November.
His funeral will be celebrated this Wednesday 25th at Maison Funéraire de CUERS, near Toulon. The family have requested “ni fleurs ni couronnes” (no flowers or wreaths), however a compilation of nice words from his friends would be appreciated … by early Wednesday morning.
Rene was under a medical treatment with chemotherapy since a few weeks and had been feeling very tired for the last few days. So many of us will miss him.
Rene started his career with Schlumberger Wireline in 1966 in the Middle East. He went on to work in Africa, Far East, South America and Europe, ending in 1986 in Paris.
