Carlos started his Schlumberger Wireline career in Patagonia in his native Argentina in 1966, going to the CLIC (Client Log Interpretation Center) in Paris in 1973. He returned to Argentina the following year as a log analyst and spent most of the next 14 years there, apart from a spell in Brazil from 1982-88 and in Hassi Massaoud, Algeria from 1992-93. After leaving he became an independent log consultant and Professor at ITBA in Buenos Aires and an Instructor for NExt Schlumberger.
